Our client, Hardware Hospitality Operations Pty Ltd t/a Grilled Steak and Seafood Hardware Lane is seeking a Chef to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Preparing daily production list
* Ensuring that all stations remain stocked before and during the meal period
* Verifying that kitchen staff follow all recipes and portion servings correctly
* Keeping kitchen, dish and storage areas clean and organised
* Placing food and supply orders as directed
* Receiving products by verifying invoices and freshness of merchandise
* Assisting with training employees to company standards
* Setting excellent customer service and work examples
* Actively participating as a member of the management team
* Managing staffing levels throughout shift
* Overseeing kitchen labour and food costs to budgetary requirements
* Performing additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Head Chef at any time
* Preparing and serving of all hot and cold entrees, dips, soups, main courses such as beef, lamb, poultry, seafood, vegetarian dishes & desserts of Italian and International Kitchen
* Monitoring and controlling wastage, portion control on day-to-day basis
* Responsibility in ensuring food safety and kitchen sanitation as per requirements
Position Requirements:
* Certificate IV level qualification or equivalent in the relevant field.
* 3 years of recent experience in a chef role.
* Good planning and organisation skills
* Good arithmetic skills
* Ability to work in a team co-operatively
* Keen sense of taste and smell
* Ability to remain calm in hectic circumstances
Salary: $75000 - $85000
