Support sustainable land management across Queensland. Assess, advise and deliver outcomes. LANDS #DeliveringforQueensland!
Based in Mount Isa, Cloncurry or Dalby (with other business centres considered), this AO5 Natural Resource Management Officer role supports the delivery of Queensland’s vegetation management framework.
You’ll be part of an enthusiastic and solutions-focussed team, providing high quality advice to landholders, stakeholders and the public on matters related to Queensland’s vegetation management framework. Activities include assessing vegetation management enquires, presenting at workshops, attending and or coordinating field days, and providing advice to landholders and stakeholders under the Vegetation Management Act 1999. The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as an ability to interpret legislation and contribute to engagement activities.
Working as part of a supportive regional team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across the state to respond to enquires relating to Queensland’s vegetation management framework. You’ll also contribute to business improvement initiatives and develop knowledge of vegetation assessment, mapping systems and compliance procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to build their experience in natural resource management, apply technical knowledge, and support land resource outcomes that benefit Queensland’s communities and setting.
