Our client, a USA-owned and private equity-backed global powerhouse in engineered materials and specialist manufacturing, has recently expanded into Australia with the acquisition of a well-established national business. With strong foundations in place, they are now investing in growth across key markets and Melbourne is central to that plan.
Following the recent relocation to a brand-new 1,100m² facility in Epping, the branch is primed to support large-scale projects and long-term growth. This modern site provides the space, resources, and infrastructure needed to deliver to core industrial customers, particularly in the LNG, oil & gas, and energy sectors.
The Role
Reporting to the Regional President, you'll oversee the full spectrum of branch operations — from sales and customer relationships to inventory management and staff development. Your focus will be on building a high-performing team, strengthening vendor and customer partnerships, and ensuring operational excellence to meet the demands of critical industries.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing sales, operations, and administration to deliver on branch performance targets.
* Growing market share with new and existing customers in LNG, oil & gas, energy, and other industrial sectors.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts and vendors.
* Developing and coaching branch staff to create a motivated, capable team.
* Monitoring profitability, implementing cost controls, and driving productivity.
* Overseeing inventory, purchasing, collections, scheduling, and facility management.
* Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a safe workplace.
