Job Summary
Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Professional for a Fixed Term Full‐time role (reference number 107313) located in Burwood, NSW. Salary range: $108,374–$119,210. The role is part of the Injury & Claims Management team, responsible for managing complex injury claims end‐to‐end, ensuring compliance with NSW legislation and SIRA requirements, and improving recovery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage complex and sensitive work related injury claims from initiation to settlement, providing sound liability decisions and injury management coordination. Implement strategic claims management practices, analyse medico‐legal reports, produce high‐quality written communications, and use Excel to interrogate data. Build strong stakeholder relationships and reduce average claim costs and durations.
Qualifications
Over five years of experience in workers compensation claims management across self‐insured and large, complex organisations. Strong process discipline, sound judgement, data‐driven approach, and ability to navigate medico‐legal and stakeholder scenarios. Skilled at stakeholder management and communication.
Work Conditions
Team hub located in Burwood; 50% workplace presence expected. Flexible work options may be available. We are recruiting two roles in this team – one permanent and one temporary part‐time (3 days a week).
