It’s a hands-on role with a variety of day-to-day tasks including painting, gardening, and both reactive and preventative maintenance. No two days are the same, and the work you do will be highly valued by both residents and staff. Key Responsibilities • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance across buildings, plant and equipment, furniture, fittings, gardens, lawns and carparks • Complete painting and general property maintenance tasks • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed in a timely manner • Maintain asset acquisitions and disposals within Maintenance Connection • Manage site vehicles and loading dock areas • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Site Manager regarding asset management and budget planning • Purchase materials and equipment in line with organisational policies • Respond to and manage maintenance-related requests and concerns from residents and staff • Develop positive working relationships with staff, contractors and service providers • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and BaptistCare policies and procedures Roster: • 3 days per week • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday • Start time: 8:00am • 6.25 hours per day About You To be successful in this role, you will have: • Minimum 12 months' experience in preventative and reactive maintenance systems • Hands-on property maintenance experience • Experience managing property-related contractors • Understanding of operational budget processes • Strong Microsoft 365 skills • Current driver's licence • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • A proactive, can-do attitude and strong problem-solving abilities • Alignment with BaptistCare's vision, purpose and values Desirable • Trade qualification • Fire Safety Officer training (or willingness to obtain) • Experience working within an aged care or healthcare environment About Yallambee: Located in the serene suburb of Mundaring, BaptistCare Yallambee is a 40 bed site and offers a peaceful and picturesque place to call home. The facility consists of four separate houses, each comprising ten rooms along with a kitchen, dining, and lounge area.
