About the role: We are looking for a motivated and detail‐oriented Audit Manager to join our team in Brisbane. In this leadership role, you'll manage a portfolio of audit clients, mentor a growing team, and play an active part in business development. You'll oversee audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring the highest quality outcomes for our clients while managing deadlines, budgets, and team performance.

Key responsibilities
* Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues.
* Perform reviews of audit work.
* Review financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and prepare reports and opinions for management.
* Summarise the key areas of the engagement for the partner.
* Ensure completion of each assignment to a high‐quality standard, within budget and on or before deadlines.
* Conduct various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members.
* Together with the partner negotiate fees and demonstrate commercial responsibility for profitability of each client.
* Contribute to meetings and make effective presentations to staff and clients.
* Assist with management and coordination of the audit team, including training, mentoring and methodology compliance.
* Monitor staffing requirements and future resource planning issues.
* Assist partners in business development and marketing activities.
About you

We are seeking an experienced audit professional who has a strong technical understanding of accounting standards and audit procedures, paired with excellent communication and organisational skills. Confident in managing multiple priorities and mentoring team members, you will bring a proactive approach to client service and a commitment to delivering high‐quality outcomes.

Essential qualifications
* 5–7 years' experience in audit.
* Strong communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Strong prioritising skills.
* Demonstrated problem‐solving and decision‐making skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Detailed working knowledge and application of the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards and other applicable legislation.
Desirable qualifications
* Business development exposure.
