Chef Position

Reports to: Head Chef

Key Relationships: Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Food & Beverage Attendant

Primary Objectives

At Travel + Leisure our vision is to put the World on Vacation. As the Chef you will prepare, produce, and present all foods according to standard recipes and as directed by the Commis or Head Chef, providing a superior customer experience.

Principal Responsibilities
* Place highest importance on food safety and hygiene according to HACCP principles and local guidelines.
* Prepare, produce and present all foods in accordance with food hygiene and health & safety standards.
* Display eagerness to increase food knowledge and skills; strive to minimize food waste.
* Audit kitchen stock & grocery lines daily & order stock as required.
* Maintain exemplary grooming and personal hygiene.
* Focus on customer service; display an open, friendly manner and positive attitude.
* Follow tasks to completion and to the best of your ability.
* Provide input on menus, rosters, and other team issues.
* Communicate promptly, clearly and concisely to Chef and team members on all matters.
* Be punctual on arriving at work and returning from meal breaks.
* Promote a clean and secure working environment.
* Adhere to company occupational health & safety policies and procedures.
* Display innovation by inspiring, creating and improving processes and products.
* Show integrity by doing the right thing, taking responsibility and delivering on the promise.
* Display leadership values by ensuring effective communication and respecting peers and managers.
* Support others within the team and empower each other wherever possible.
Key Position Criteria
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* In process of attaining required state qualifications.
* Ability to work productively in a fast‐paced, changing workplace.
* Able to work all hours required to run food and beverage operations.
* Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
