Position Overview
A registered nurse in mental health is required to deliver high-quality care services at a Southern TAS hospital from 17/11/2025 to 15/12/2025.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working in accordance with the Statewide Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, and relevant professional competencies. Key responsibilities include:
1. Undertaking the delivery of nursing care to consumers based on best practice principles, person-centered, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed care within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
2. Providing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, active therapeutic engagement, monitoring and review of mental state and response to treatments, ongoing psychotherapeutic work using various modalities and techniques within a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Experience in high dependency and acute settings.
* Mental Health nursing experience and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
