Your new role
As an Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) Worker, you will provide intake support to clients accessing the services of the homelessness sector in the Central Highlands Region, who may be in need of housing assistance, support and/or referral to appropriate services within and outside of the sector.
In this role, you will assist households in housing crisis through completing assessments and provision of the Housing Establishment Fund (HEF).

Your skills and experience
* Minimum qualification Diploma of Welfare/Community Services, or equivalent in related field
* Extensive knowledge of housing & homelessness sectors with particular emphasis on the Central Highlands Area.
* Demonstrated experience working with marginalised sectors of the community in particular those experiencing homelessness
* Excellent customer service skills with proven capacity to engage and develop positive working relationships with people and stakeholders
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to work autonomously, as part of a small team and within a diverse team environment
