About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our Mobile Maintenance team, responsible for maintaining and optimising the performance of mining fleet equipment.
The role involves carrying out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and fault diagnosis on a range of mobile plant equipment, ensuring assets remain safe, reliable, and available for production. You will work collaboratively with supervisors, planners, and fellow tradespeople to deliver high-quality outcomes that align with operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs on mobile mining equipment
* Conduct fault finding and diagnostics to minimise downtime
* Complete work orders, maintenance records, and shift handovers accurately
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety, environmental, and site compliance standards
* Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
* Collaborate with the broader maintenance team to achieve availability and KPI targets
About You
You are a proactive and safety-focused Auto Electrician with strong technical capability and a commitment to high quality workmanship. You thrive in a team environment and take pride in delivering reliable outcomes under pressure.
Qualifications
* Relevant Auto Electrical trade qualification
* Refrigerant Handling Compliance Training (in accordance with Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Regulations)
* At least 2 years experience in mobile equipment maintenance
* Experience working on mining equipment (highly regarded), with exposure to Caterpillar, Liebherr or Hitachi fleets advantageous
* Strong fault‐finding and diagnostic skills
* Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and best practice
* Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records
* Solid communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
Desirable (but not essential)
* High Risk Work Licence
* Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space, and First Aid certifications
