14th May – We are searching for an experienced Health, Safety, Environment & Training Coordinator to join our team and support long‐term mining, civil and road construction projects in the Northern Territory and South Australia. This role reports to the Project Manager and National Safety, Training & Quality Manager and requires hands‐on operational work in hot, dry, dusty remote locations.
Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with legislated safety and training requirements, and company and client safety and training standards.
* Actively promote a Zero Harm environment in line with company vision and core values.
* Coordinate safety programs to fulfill contractual obligations.
* Maintain relevant safety registers, including the project training matrix.
* Conduct inspections & audits ensuring compliance with both company and client systems.
* Facilitate training and inductions, both paper‐based and online.
* Coordinate and deliver toolbox and pre‐start meetings.
* Accident/incident investigation and reporting.
* Review and develop risk assessments.
* Review and develop site‐specific safe operating procedures.
* Provide regular WHS statistical reports to the management teams.
* Provide coaching, mentoring and technical guidance.
* Ensure records are maintained and compliant with WHS legislation.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant WHS qualifications (minimum Cert IV).
* Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE116 or above preferred).
* Strong understanding of mine site and legislative WHS requirements.
* Construction and civil industry experience in a similar position.
* Experience developing safety programs.
* Excellent verbal and non‐verbal communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
