Maintenance Technician Role
McLean Farms is an agribusiness and one of the largest egg producers in Australia.
* Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and fabrication issues using problem-solving skills.
* Perform welding and metal fabrication safely and efficiently.
* Assist with urgent repairs outside normal working hours.
* Train apprentices and promote a safe working environment.
* Hold a trade qualification in Engineering - Mechanical or Fabrication Trade.
* Have proven experience in maintenance, fitting, or metal fabrication.
* Have strong diagnostic skills.
* Be able to read technical drawings and specifications.
* Understand workplace health and safety practices.
As a skilled Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all plant and equipment are functioning optimally at all times. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and fabrication issues, as well as manufacturing, modifying, and assembling machine components.
Key responsibilities include carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and fabrication issues using problem-solving skills, and performing welding and metal fabrication safely and efficiently.
Apart from your technical skills, you will also be required to train apprentices and promote a safe working environment. To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a trade qualification in Engineering - Mechanical or Fabrication Trade, have proven experience in maintenance, fitting, or metal fabrication, and have strong diagnostic skills.
Furthermore, you should be able to read technical drawings and specifications, understand workplace health and safety practices, and be willing to work outside normal working hours when necessary.
