Emergency Department Administration Officer – Permanent full time.
Location: St Vincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst.
Salary: $71,072.43 – $73,287.41 plus super and salary packaging.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a welcoming professional experience for patients, families and visitors in a busy Emergency Department.
* Manage patient registrations, admissions and record updates with accuracy.
* Support patient flow by coordinating real‐time movement and status updates across the department.
* Handle billing, funding and payment processes to ensure accurate patient account management.
* Partner with clinical teams to provide high‐quality administrative support that helps deliver outstanding patient care.
Qualifications
* Experience delivering exceptional customer service within a busy healthcare or high‐volume service environment.
* Confident communicator who can engage professionally and empathetically with patients, visitors and multidisciplinary teams.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail, excellent data entry skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Tech‐savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems with intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
* Resilient, adaptable and able to perform effectively under pressure while contributing positively to a 24/7 team environment.
