HEAD OF WHOLESALE SALES – Rustica Sourdough Melbourne-based (covering Greater Melbourne & regional Victoria)

With five flagship bakery-cafés and a thriving wholesale division supplying hundreds of Victoria’s best cafés, restaurants, hotels, and retailers, we are one of the most respected and fastest-growing bakery brands in the state.

The Opportunity We are expanding our wholesale team and are looking for a proven gun salesperson who lives and breathes B2B foodservice/hospitality sales. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on the growth of our wholesale division.

Responsibilities

Hunting current business and winning major accounts (cafés, restaurants, hotels, provenances, independent grocers, catering companies)

Growing and protecting existing key accounts

Consistently hitting and exceeding ambitious monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Representing Rustica at events, product tastings, and chef/restaurant openings

Monitoring competitor activity and identifying new opportunities in the market

Preparing professional proposals, tenders, and tailored account-growth plans

Managing your pipeline, activities, and customer insights in our CRM (we use HubSpot)

Collaborating closely with production, logistics, and marketing teams to deliver seamless customer experiences

Providing regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management

What you bring

3–7+ years B2B sales experience with a demonstrable track record of smashing targets

Existing network within Melbourne/Victoria’s hospitality and foodservice industry (highly regarded)

Proven success selling premium bakery, pastry, or artisan food products (strongly preferred)

Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑building skills

Analytical mindset – you can spot trends, read accounts, and turn insights into revenue

Highly organised, autonomous, and driven by results

A genuine passion for artisan bread and pastry (you’ll be tasting and talking about it daily!)

Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle (travel across Melbourne & regional Victoria required)
