A large city based Government Department is seeking contractors at the APS5, APS6 and EL1 levels to assist with the delivery of programs that deliver economic and employment opportunities for the region.
The team is responsible for providing oversight and advice on the delivery of local and state services, designing new services, developing and amending legislative frameworks, coordinating legal advice and liaising with State and Commonwealth Government.
Depending on your level, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage/assist with contracts with service providers and review monthly reports
- Manage/assist with implementation recommendations, including strategic discussions and evaluation
- Prepare and coordinate correspondence including briefs and other documents
- Prepare ministerial correspondence
- Provide input and oversight on budget measures for the section
To be shortlisted for interview, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated skills in policy and/or programs
- Familiarity with contract management/procurement and related processes
- Research and problem solving skills
- Strong writing skills to brief on complex issues
- Robust interpersonal skills including the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and work collaboratively within the branch
- Outstanding communication skills and time management skills
**BASELINE security clearance is essential**
