Role Overview
Assistant Director, Detainee Education Services (SOGC) at the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC) in Hume. The role supports the provision of meaningful engagement for detainees across AMC, supporting rehabilitation and reintegration, including the delivery of education services.
Responsibilities
* Enhance the delivery of rehabilitative and reintegrative services and programmes to meet identified needs and promote positive engagement.
* Work closely with multiple service areas to ensure the delivery of contracted programmes and services, collaborating to implement services for the betterment of detainees.
* Lead and participate in research developments, evaluations and quality assurance work that impacts the rehabilitation and reintegration of detainees.
* Support the provision of meaningful engagement for detainees across AMC, including the delivery of education services.
* Provide direct input into service and programme development through governance structures.
* Manage and lead teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills to build rapport and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Current driver's licence 'Class C' (essential).
* National Police check.
* Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011.
* Australian citizen, permanent resident or holder of a valid work visa.
* Experience managing and leading teams.
* Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
