We are seeking an experienced Senior ApplicationsDeveloper to join a major government program delivering critical system and application improvements during a period of significant transformation.
This is a hands‐on technical role working across legacy and modern platforms, focused on enhancing core applications, improving document generation capabilities, and delivering high‐quality system updates in a fast‐paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver enhancements and updates across applications and systems using Agile methodologies
* Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to identify problems and deliver effective solutions
* Contribute innovative ideas to address both short‐and long‐term challenges
* Develop, maintain, and improve system functionality, templates, and reporting solutions
* Participate in planning, testing, implementation, and documentation of system changes
* Ensure compliance with governance, security, and operational requirements
Technical Skills
* Strong experience across the .NET stack (C#, .NET Framework / .NET Core)
* Experience with Visual Studio and Web APIs / REST architecture
* Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automated testing
* Experience working with SQL Server
* Experience with Microsoft Word templates, including mail merge, VBA, and JSON
* Exposure to web-based application development and reporting solutions**
Experience Required
* Experience working in government or similarly complex environments
* Proven ability to deliver in fast‐paced, high‐change environments
* Strong experience with Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and tools such as Jira or ServiceNow
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
* Existing Australian Government Security Clearance
* Certifications in Agile or relevant technology frameworks
