The position of Sales Account Executive (Agency) Delta Air Lines is a newly created part-time role, specific to the territory of Queensland, with particular focus on developing sales for Delta's seasonal Brisbane-Los Angeles service. The role focuses on strengthening relationships with local strategic partners, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and providing on-the-ground support that enhances Delta Air Lines' commercial performance and presence in the market.
Ongoing activities will include regular sales calls, training and product seminars, performance reviews and analysis and participating in industry events and activity. The role plays a pivotal part in supporting the Sales Manager (Agency) Australia by helping executive sales activity plans, providing timely market intelligence, and keeping them informed of local developments, territory dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
The candidate must be based in Queensland within close proximity of Brisbane, with a valid drivers license and access to own vehicle. The role will require approximately 20 hours per week and will be year-round.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a territory sales call and activity plan
* Analyse performance and activity trends
* Coordinate and deliver clear, professional, market relevant sales messages aligned to Delta's commercial objectives and brand positioning
* Develop and maintain productive relationships with key account stakeholders at all levels
* Assist national sales team with contract-related activity
* Identify and support opportunities to collaborate with industry and strategic partners
* Represent Delta Air Lines at industry events, travel expos, launches and relevant forums
* Complete sales reporting and administrative tasks accurately and on time
Qualifications
* A formal qualification in travel and tourism, business or communications is preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and customer relationship management software
* Demonstrated ability to set goals and achieve them
* Strong communication skills and understanding of sales process
