Raytheon Australia is seeking a Software Developer/Engineer to design, develop, and implement the EW Mission System. The role follows Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and focuses on building a microservices‐based application with automated CI/CD pipelines, TDD, and DevSecOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze, design and develop a microservices/container‐based software application.
* Work with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to implement functionality that complies with the Definition of Done.
* Continuously improve the flow of value within the Scrum team.
* Plan for Sprints and Program Increments.
* Collaborate effectively within the team.
* Build quality into the product using Test‐Driven Development and automated test frameworks.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in STEM with a minimum of 5 years' experience in software design, development, and testing.
* Experience working within Scrum.
* Experience working within SAFe.
* Experience with Kubernetes orchestration for containerised applications.
* Experience with microservice and/or event‐driven architecture.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines (version control, quality, deployment, and test automation tools).
* Experience with DevSecOps framework.
* Experience configuring GitLab CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
* Experience developing and executing Python scripts in Ansible.
* Experience on a Linux platform.
* Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) and software design patterns.
* Experience with an object‐oriented language (e.g., C++, C#, Objective C, Java) or Rust.
* Experience with Avalonia UI.
* Experience with Apache Kafka.
* Experience developing unit tests, end‐to‐end tests, TDD, static code analysis, and code‐coverage tools.
* Experience with source‐code repositories (Git, GitLab) and branching concepts.
* Experience in a Defence‐related industry.
