We are a professional and successful business that offers employees a challenging and enjoyable working environment. ILHA Pty Ltd trading as AUS Fleet Solutions is currently looking to grow our Port Hedland team by employing a proactive and hands‐on workshop technician.
We currently have an excellent opportunity available to be part of the success of the Europcar business and its subsidiary, AUSMechanical Services throughout Western Australia. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role will involve providing mechanical support and assistance to the workshop, monitoring the service and repair in progress within the team. This position will be 30% productive on the tools and 70% supervising the mechanics and apprentices in the workshop.
This role is NOT a FIFO role and will require the candidate to be based in Port Hedland.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre‐employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, supervise and control workshop team activities on a daily basis.
* Road‐test vehicles with customers and diagnose customer concerns prior to vehicle being booked in for service or repair.
* Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure that technicians and apprentice technicians use their time effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience
* Automotive Technician Qualification (Trade Certificate) with a minimum of 5 years post‐apprenticeship experience.
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar supervisory position (preferred).
* Experience leading and developing people.
* Motor Vehicle Repairer's Certificate (preferred).
* Air conditioning ticket (preferred).
* Basic computer skills.
* Unrestricted manual driver's licence (MR licence preferred).
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Travel throughout Europcar WA locations may be required.
