The Strategic Waste team is seeking a Waste Education Officer to assist with waste educational and waste minimisation programs that promote best practice in waste management across the community and Council.
The Waste Education Officer works alongside the Waste Project Officers, supporting the community of Port Stephens through education around best waste practices and waste minimisation programs.
You will utilise your high level of customer service through community engagement to coordinate and promote all community clean up events within the Port Stephens LGA, as well as design and implement innovative educational programs and materials that engage the wider community.
This is an initial 4-week contract with the possibility of extension.
Located in Raymond Terrace, Monday to Friday.
Skillset Sought
* Qualifications and relevant experience in project management, education, customer service, waste management or demonstrated equivalent experience
* Experience developing, coordinating, and implementing educational programs and other initiatives
* Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of community and key stakeholders across Council
