Human Resources Officer (6-month Maternity Leave Cover)

Australian Ceramics Engineering (ACE) is a market leader in the supply of wear protection systems, providing clients with complete material handling solutions—including design, fabrication and on-site support—across Australia and internationally.

We are seeking an organised and proactive Human Resources Officer to join our Human Resources team on a part-time basis for a 6-month maternity leave contract, with potential for extension. Reporting to the Group Head of Human Resources, this role provides hands‐on administrative and operational support across the full employee lifecycle, while assisting in the delivery of efficient and consistent HR processes across the business.

Based at our Canning Vale facility, this part‐time (25 hours per week) role will work closely with the HR Advisor and Recruitment Advisor to support onboarding, HR systems, reporting, employee documentation, compliance activities, and employee experience initiatives as the business continues to grow and evolve.

What You Will Do

* Provide administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding and employment documentation
* Prepare employment contracts, variation letters, HR correspondence and maintain accurate employee records
* Maintain and update HR systems, including Employment Hero, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
* Support employees and managers with general HR and payroll‐related administrative queries
* Support recruitment processes through scheduling, candidate administration and document management
* Coordinate apprenticeship administration and liaise with training providers
* Prepare HR reports including workforce data, onboarding status and headcount reporting
* Support compliance activities through accurate record keeping and document control
* Assist the HR Advisor and Group Head of HR with employee relations administration, meeting coordination and documentation
* Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, internal communications and recognition programs
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across HR systems, templates and administrative processes

What You Will Bring

* Previous experience in a HR Administration, HR Officer or coordination role
* Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
* Experience maintaining HR systems and employee records
* Experience using Employment Hero or a similar HRIS highly regarded
* Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast‐paced environment
* A proactive, team‐oriented approach with a willingness to support across multiple HR functions
* HR qualifications or equivalent practical experience highly regarded
