Description Join Westpac Institutional Bank and lead the charge in driving business payments growth across Australia. Sitting within the Global Transaction Services line of business, you’ll be the driving force behind delivering strategic customer outcomes through innovative go-to-market initiatives. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Sydney. You’ll execute strategies to accelerate merchant and business payments growth across all customer segments while managing banker engagement across SME, Commercial Banking, and Institutional channels to ensure alignment with product priorities and frontline enablement. A key part of the role is uplifting awareness of Westpac’s Business Payments Customer Value Proposition (CVP) and embedding it into banker and customer conversations. You’ll also design and support banker campaigns to drive targeted engagement and product adoption. In addition, you’ll provide merchant payments pre-sales consulting for enterprise clients, partnering with frontline teams to shape tailored solutions and support complex deal conversion. Finally, you’ll collaborate across BAU and project teams to deliver business outcomes while ensuring operational risk and compliance are effectively managed. What do I need? Experience in Merchant Payments, ideally within Business or Institutional Banking, and exposure to large-scale, complex organisations. Proven ability to develop and execute customer acquisition and growth strategies, including opportunity identification and proposition development. Strong consulting, strategy, or product development experience. Ability to design visually compelling presentations for external customers and executives. Excellent stakeholder management skills with confidence in influencing and building collaborative relationships. A balance of strategic thinking and delivery focus, with strong governance awareness.
