Mission
In addition to Rework Grinding, this operator accomplishes hands‑on training of Rework Grinders. This operator also oversees the qualification and certification of Rework Grinders and provides feedback to supervision.
Principal Accountabilities
* Train and certify Rework Grinders.
o Progress new or transfer Rework Grinders through the qualification and certification process.
o Train employees on new skills and work with employees to improve performance to satisfactory levels or maintain satisfactory performance.
o Perform module audits.
o Evaluate employee against certification requirements.
o Give objective, fact‑based input for performance reviews. Participate in performance measure feedback and performance review of Rework Grinders.
o In performing training/certification duties, avoid favoritism or the perception of it.
* Training program support:
o Create and revise training modules.
o Establish and revise written evaluation.
o Design and update skills demonstration and criteria for qualification and certification.
* Rework Grinder support and audits:
o Maintain records of employees and overall departments.
o Perform ongoing evaluation of employees and random audits.
o Stay current on Rework Grinder techniques in all aspects of interpreting.
* Other:
o Is sensitive to and proactively supports the maintenance of a harassment/discrimination‑free environment.
Qualifications
* Current Rework Grinder Trainer certification desired or Tat's certified within 30 days.
* Must be self‑motivated (as determined by feedback from the Trainer Coordinator or Production Supervisor) and capable of high performance with little or no supervision.
* Must consistently rate in the top 20% in Project Team Build issues and demonstrate good work habits, including a history of quality workmanship.
* Must be free of any disciplinary action for Quality, Productivity or Behaviour over the last 12 months.
* The incumbent must be willing, as required by production needs, to change department assignments, work with others in more than one department, and adjust shift schedules.
* Outstanding performance as determined by feedback from the Trainer Coordinator or Production Supervisor in prior progression through the Rework Grinder Training and Certification Program is desired. (Does not apply to Rework Grinders who did not have access to the program.)
* Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions, make progress observations, and accurately record technical data required.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Instructions must be clear and unambiguous; consistently assures directions are clearly understood resulting in work that rarely, if ever, needs to be redone due to the quality of communication.
* Must have good facilitation skill and the ability to teach individuals and/or small groups.
* Satisfactory attendance record required.
* Satisfactory safety record required.
* Must have held a Rework Grinder position for a minimum of 12 months during the prior three years.
