Job Overview

Ferrycarrig are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Project Directors. The successful candidate will manage large Infrastructure projects across the Sydney Region.

About us: Ferrycarrig is a leading constructor of utilities and civil infrastructure. We are a multi-disciplined contractor with the in‐house resources and the capabilities to deliver all aspects of our projects. We own and operate a large fleet of plant and equipment and employ a large, diverse workforce that has extensive experience delivering large and complex utilities and civil infrastructure projects. We have contributed to some of Sydney's largest and most significant infrastructure projects delivered in recent years, including Sydney Light Rail, Parramatta Light Rail, Sydney Metro, Western Sydney Airport, and the New Sydney Fish Markets.

Responsibilities

* Leads and mentors Project Managers, Senior Project Engineers, and site leadership teams across assigned projects.
* Acts as the senior project interface with clients, partners, and regulators, while escalating strategic issues to the GM as required.
* Resourcing and subcontractor selection in line with company procurement policies.
* Ensure delivery against scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
* Drive proactive planning, risk management, and problem resolution to minimise delays and cost overruns.
* Oversight of high risk works to ensure effective planning is implemented in programming these works.
* Ensure compliance with all HSEQ requirements, embedding a strong culture of accountability.
* Project budgets, variations, and commercial decisions within approved limits.
* Accountable for achieving, protecting project margins and delivery margin.
* Oversee cost control, cashflow, and commercial performance on projects.
* Support the GM in forecasting and reporting consolidated project performance against budget.
* Any other additional duties required to carry out the role successfully.

Qualifications

* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
* At least 15 years of experience working in construction on Water Infrastructure, Transport, Bulk Earthworks or Detailed Excavation & Retaining Structure Projects.
* Five years' experience working in NSW.
* Experience working for a principal contractor.
* Design and Construct experience is preferred but not mandatory.
* Demonstrated experience in cost control and monthly reporting requirements including cost forecasting.
