About the Role
You will be joining a highly experienced and knowledgeable team in a busy workshop environment, contributing to the manufacture, repair, and refurbishment of critical components used in heavy industry.
As a Manual Machinist, your primary focus will be completing assigned tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently, while supporting a strong safety-first and teamwork-driven culture.
Key Duties
* Manual lathe operation
* Operation of milling machines and horizontal borers
* Operation of radial arm drill
* Preventive and routine maintenance of machineryRead and interpret engineering drawings
* Manufacture, repair, and refurbishment of components
* Maintain clean, safe, and well-serviced machines
* Accurate completion of job-related documentation
* Liaise with internal stakeholders and workshop teams
* Programming experience (highly regarded)
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualified Machinist
* Proven experience in a machine shop environment
* Highly proficient operating manual lathes, milling machines, horizontal borers and radial arm drills
* Strong attention to detail and workmanship
* Computer literacy
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
* Confident team player who can also work autonomously
* Current forklift licence (essential)
* Full working rights in Australia
