We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in a hands-on role supporting day-to-day financial operations, reconciliations, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. Your Role: Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Finance function through financial accounting, reconciliations, reporting, accounts payable and process improvement activities. Key responsibilities include: End to end Accounts Payable processing and general ledger journals Daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations, variance investigation and resolution Supporting month end accounting, financial and management reporting Assisting with tax reporting including GST, BAS and FBT Maintaining fixed asset registers and corporate card reconciliations Supporting regulatory reporting and annual audit activities Partnering with internal stakeholders across Finance, Payment Services and operational teams Contributing to process improvement and operational efficiencies across Finance About You We’re seeking someone with solid end-to-end accounting experience who thrives in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: Strong end to end Accounts Payable experience and a solid understanding of downstream financial impacts Proven experience with GL reconciliations, variance investigation and issue resolution Experience working with GL ERP/accounting systems Exposure to payment services or transaction banking reconciliations (highly regarded) Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure Advanced Excel capability, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and VLOOKUP Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Relevant accounting or finance experience (banking or financial services experience highly regarded).
