Overview
This position is available on a fixed‐term and permanent full‐time basis (76 hours per fortnight). Fixed‐term appointments may be extended and/or lead to permanency. A talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse is invited to join the Community Health team in Geraldton, Midwest, Western Australia.
Responsibilities
Provides clinical services as part of the core community health programmes such as immunisation, school health and child health. Responsible for providing quality primary health services to the community within their own levels of competency to meet planned health outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
* Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated knowledge and ability to implement health promotion principles into clinical practice.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate primary health programmes.
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently and as a member of a multi‐disciplinary team.
* Eligibility for or possession of a current C or C‐A Class drivers licence or other specialised licence class.
* Post‐graduate qualification in Child and Adolescent Health an advantage.
