About the Role
As a Paramedic at Clarence Correctional Centre, you will be a key part of the onsite healthcare team, delivering high-quality emergency response, acute care, and primary health services within a custodial environment. What You'll Be Doing
* Respond to medical emergencies and provide rapid clinical assessment and intervention
* Deliver acute and primary care services within scope of practice
* Administer medications and treatments in line with clinical guidelines
* Support the management of chronic conditions alongside the wider health team
* Work collaboratively with nurses, GPs, and custodial staff to ensure coordinated care
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient confidentiality
What You'll Bring
* Qualified and registered Paramedic with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
* Strong clinical decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
* Experience in emergency, pre-hospital, or acute care settings
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to delivering respectful, patient-centred care
Leadership and Collaboration
You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, GPs, and allied health professionals to deliver integrated care. Your ability to remain calm under pressure and provide clinical leadership in emergency situations will be highly valued.
