Role Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled ICT Help Desk Officer to join our growing technical support team. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing high-quality IT support services to clients and internal users.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first‐level technical support to clients and internal staff via phone, email, and remote support tools.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, system, and network‐related issues.
* Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
* Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when required.
* Maintain accurate records of support requests, troubleshooting activities, and system updates.
* Assist with user account management, password resets, and access permissions.
* Support website, application, and system maintenance activities where required.
* Monitor system performance and identify potential technical issues proactively.
* Assist in maintaining IT security standards, backups, and software updates.
* Provide guidance and training to users on basic IT systems and applications.
* Ensure all support tasks are completed within agreed service timeframes.
* Collaborate with internal teams to support ongoing technology projects and improvements.
* Maintain a professional and customer‐focused approach when handling support requests.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, ICT, Computer Science, or related field.
* Minimum 1 year of relevant ICT support or help desk experience.
Skills and Other Requirements
* Strong troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills.
* Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, networking, and basic server administration.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Customer service‐focused attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
