Medsurge is seeking an experienced Hospital Key Account Manager to join our hospitals team. This role is critical in strengthening Medsurge's presence across key hospital accounts, driving sales performance, and building trusted relationships with key decision‐makers. You will be responsible for managing and growing key hospital accounts, driving strategic engagement, and ensuring Medsurge's products and services are well represented across the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with Directors of Pharmacy, Procurement teams, and key hospital stakeholders.
* Act as the primary point of contact for key hospital accounts, ensuring customer needs are met.
* Drive sales performance and maximise exposure across key and target accounts.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities across public and private healthcare sectors.
* Develop and execute territory plans and structured call cycles aligned to sales objectives.
* Support the uptake of current products and upcoming product launches.
* Gather and analyse market intelligence including competitor activity, product shortages, and customer insights.
* Collaborate cross‐functionally to deliver commercial and customer outcomes.
* Provide regular reporting and insights to support strategic decision‐making.
About You
* You are a commercially driven and relationship‐focused professional who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and enjoys working autonomously while building strong stakeholder relationships.
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Health, Life Sciences, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in pharmaceutical, hospital or healthcare sales with key account management responsibility.
* Strong understanding of hospital procurement processes and contract frameworks.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute territory and account plans.
* Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‐building skills.
* Commercially astute with a results‐focused mindset.
* Located in Victoria or New South Wales.
* Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate.
