Job Description

As a Sous Chef, you will be the second-in-command in our state-of-the-art kitchen, following the guidelines and standards set by our esteemed management. Your culinary expertise and leadership skills will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the satisfaction of our discerning guests.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and design of all food and drink menus, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.
* Produce visually stunning and delicious plates that reflect our commitment to luxury dining.
* Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and in a timely manner, meeting our stringent quality standards.
* Conduct research and develop seasonal menus, complete with food costing proposals for stakeholders.
* Address and resolve any issues that arise, taking control of challenging situations with poise.
* Manage, train, and assess kitchen staff, establishing schedules and maintaining high performance standards.
* Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies as needed, and ensuring effective food cost management.
* Enforce and comply with all sanitation regulations and safety standards.
* Maintain a positive and professional relationship with coworkers and guests alike.
* Conduct training in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
* Utilize various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS) to optimize kitchen processes.
* Enforce strict health and hygiene standards, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues to prepare and finalize menus.
* Ensure the adequacy of supplies at all cooking stations, always keeping essential ingredients readily available.
* Contribute to the creation of marketing content in collaboration with the marketing department.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end hotel or fine dining establishment.

* Exceptional culinary and managerial skills.
* Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
* Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
* Up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends and best practices.
* Leadership skills and the ability to manage kitchen staff effectively.
* Proficiency in kitchen management software and POS systems.
