The Role
An exciting and newly created opportunity has become available for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join our finance team supporting Retirement Assets on a full-time permanent basis, based either at our Melbourne or Sydney office, with the ability to work from home on a hybrid model.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and reconciliations
* Maintaining compliance with accounts payable and expenditure policies
* Resolving invoice scanning and data interpretation issues, escalating when required
* Supporting weekly supplier payment cycles
* Supporting weekly payment runs
* Managing credit card processes, performing monthly reconciliations and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records
* Monitoring and reconciling vendor statements, resolving discrepancies
* Assisting with corporate credit card and expense claim reconciliations
* Coordinating with purchasing and receiving teams to verify authorised purchases
* Supporting accurate and timely financial reporting
* Contributing to policy development and continuous improvement initiatives
* Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve accounts payable processes
About You
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or Commerce
* Qualified as a CA or CPA, or actively working towards certification
* Fundamental knowledge of general accounting and financial reporting
* Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting and/or high‐volume transactional environments
* Experience with journals, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Strong ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
Requirements
Additional requirements: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check and will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of May‐November with supporting documentation prior to joining.
