Faith Lutheran College, Plainland is seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as Deputy Principal (College Life) on a 5-year fixed term contract.
This is a pivotal opportunity to shape the lived experience, culture, and daily life of a dynamic and growing P–12 Christian learning community, committed to awakening potential and empowering learners for purposeful lives through Christ.
The Role
Reporting to the Principal, the Deputy Principal (College Life) is a key Executive leader responsible for:
* Strategic leadership
* Operations, daily College life and timetabling
* Lutheran identity, formation and ministry
* Co-curricular, student life and beyond-the-classroom experiences
* Pastoral care, wellbeing and support services
* People, performance and workplace wellbeing
* Child safety, safeguarding and work health and safety
* Governance, accreditation and compliance
* Whole of College leadership
This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the College's vision is visible and experienced in every aspect of College life, shaping a culture where all students and staff flourish.
This position works in close partnership with a complementary Executive role: Deputy Principal (Education).
Together, these two Deputy Principals provide holistic leadership across the College:
* The Deputy Principal (College Life) leads culture, wellbeing, operations, co-curricular programs, and the lived experience of College life.
* The Deputy Principal (Education) leads the educational strategy, pedagogy and learning culture
This intentional structure ensures a deeply aligned and integrated approach to both learning and the broader student and staff experience.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and substantial senior leadership experience within a complex P–12 or secondary school environment.
* Proven experience leading whole-school improvement in culture, operations, wellbeing, and co-curricular or student life programs.
* Strong strategic and operational leadership, with the ability to manage complexity, lead change, and ensure effective day-to-day College operations.
* Demonstrated capacity to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a positive, values-driven workplace culture.
* Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse communities.
* A deep commitment to Christian education and the Lutheran ethos, with a clear passion for cultivating a Christ-centred culture and ensuring all members of the community flourish.
