The Role
* Lead, manage, coordinate and direct the district integrated transport planning and corridor management, road operations and road safety activities in a relational manner.
* Provide authoritative, strategic and operational advice on road system planning and road corridor planning issues.
* Manage land tenure issues (disposal, acquisition of corridors, changes to gazetted network, road closures)
* Develop collaborative relationships and interact with local government, other TMR business units and district planning authorities to ensure state-controlled road interests are protected in land use planning decisions.
* Operate as a member of the District Leadership Team to contribute to and assist in the implementation of the culture change processes taking place within the region; including the building of high performing teams.
* Actively influence local government planning schemes and collaborate with local governments in preparing strategic forward programs, in consultation with the Regional Planning Manager.
Diverse Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the district road corridor, including amenity management (litter, noise, air, graffiti), natural resource management (soil, salinity, quarries), road operations and safety, third-party access and tourism signage.

Mandatory Qualifications And Conditions
* A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Town Planning, or equivalent qualifications relevant to the infrastructure industry.
