Reporting to the Transport Manager,the positionincludes the following responsibilities:
* Sydney/Parkes/Sydney shuttle work and local business collections.
* Various shifts from Monday to Saturday.
* Travelling to various customers sites and preparing trucks to be unloaded/loaded, opening of rear doors (use of ratchet straps/opening curtains or gates when required).
* Effective time management to ensure timeslots are met
* Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as per operational requirements. In line with company standards and government regulations.
* Performing vehicle pre-start checks. Reporting any defects / safety concerns to supervisor – Both within MT Data environment and manually.
* Fill out Drivers Daily Worksheets, pallet details, amendments, or additions
* Perform general housekeeping of the Prime Movers, Trailers & SCT & Customers premises
* Achieve impeccable safe driving record
* Ensure all paperwork is handed in daily, any returned stock is accompanied by relevant paperwork. Compliance within MT DATA application.
* Comply with all site requirements and such other matters as may be directed by the Company

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* HC License
* Current Commercial Vehicle Driver Medical
* 2+ years commercial driving experience in metro areas
* Able to pass a pre-employment medical & fitness assessment
* Physically fit to be pulling curtains, strapping loads and other manual tasks
* Ability to prioritize assigned tasks in real time and adapt to changing requirements
* Competent at reversing & trailing hitching/unhitching on finger docks.
* Safe vehicle operations
* Be well presented, professional & reliable.
Other important information
