Join the Whole Family Team, a passionate, multidisciplinary team supporting families across the Central Coast to create safer, more stable homes where children can thrive.

This is your opportunity to step into a deeply meaningful and rewarding role, working with families who are facing complex challenges. You will provide intensive, in-home support that helps parents strengthen their skills, build stronger relationships with their children, and keep families safely together.

This is a role that offers purpose, connection, and professional growth, and you want to be part of a team that's changing lives every day, this is the job for you.

About The Opportunity

Family Clinicians within the Whole Family Team (WFT) play a critical role in supporting vulnerable families and improving the safety, wellbeing, and long-term outcomes of children involved with the child protection system. Working within a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed framework, clinicians provide specialist interventions designed to strengthen family functioning, enhance parenting capacity, and support children to safely remain with their families wherever possible.

Families are referred to the service where Risk of Significant Harm (ROSH) has been identified, often in the context of parental mental health concerns, alcohol and other drug use, and experiences of violence, abuse, or neglect, including domestic and family violence. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting families experiencing complex and interconnected challenges within their home and community environments.

Supported by experienced Clinical Leads in Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol, as well as specialist Psychiatric clinicians, Family Clinicians deliver comprehensive, evidence-based interventions tailored to the unique needs of each family. Care is provided collaboratively with the Department of Communities and Justice, health services, and relevant government and non-government agencies to ensure integrated and coordinated support for children and families.

The role works closely with colleagues and leadership across Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Services and the broader health service to deliver holistic, seamless, and culturally safe care. Clinicians are supported through targeted professional development, mentoring, and specialised training to foster innovation, evidence-based practice, and the delivery of high-quality interventions aligned with the NSW Health Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse and Neglect (PARVAN) Framework, Service Standards, Guidelines, and relevant policies and procedures.

This role is suitable for the following:

* Relevant qualifications and experience as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, or Social Worker.
* Experience working with families, children, and young people, preferably in family preservation or child protection settings.
* Demonstrated familiarity with mental health and/or drug and alcohol clinical tools, interventions and models of care that are culturally responsive, flexible and adapt to the needs of the family.
* An understanding of the impact of violence, abuse, and neglect on children and families, and able to apply a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and strengths-based approach.
* Skills in building trusting relationships with families, and demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect.
* A commitment to professional development and continuous learning to enhance your practice.
* Flexibility, resilience, and ability to manage complex and challenging situations with professionalism and compassion.
