GetCareers is currently recruiting for a motivated individual who is eager to undertake a Light Auto Mechanic Apprenticeship with a reputable workshop in the Augusta area.
This is a full-time opportunity to earn while you learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification – Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
Location: Augusta Area
Employment Type: Full-time (5 days per week, 38 hours standard)
Term of Apprenticeship: 4 years
About the Role
As a Light Auto Mechanic Apprentice, duties may include:
* Assist with servicing and repairs on light vehicles
* Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake checks, and tyre rotations
* Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
* Use workshop tools and equipment safely and effectively
* Assist senior mechanics with more complex repairs
* Maintain a clean and organised workshop
* Develop practical, hands‐on skills in a real work environment
What We're Looking For
* Driver's Licence preferred though not required (Manual preferred)
* Pre‐Apprenticeship or previous mechanical experience preferred
* Strong interest in the automotive industry
* Keen to learn, progress, and build a long‐term career
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
* Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Eligibility Criteria
* Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
* Able to commit to full-time employment for the duration of the apprenticeship
* Physically capable of performing hands‐on work
