The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 in Palliative Care will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred specialist care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

* Carry out nursing practice in accordance with legislation, common law, Registered Nurse Standards for Practice, Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses, the Australian Nursing Council Inc (ANCI) Code of Ethics Australia and take action to rectify any unsafe nursing practice or unprofessional behaviour in the workplace.
* Act in accordance with the NSW Health Code of Conduct and model the behaviours outlined in the Transforming Your Experience and Leadership Strategies.
* Demonstrates a high level of confidence and clinical proficiency in carrying out a range of procedures, treatments and interventions that are evidenced based and are within scope of clinical practice guidelines and ability.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
* Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
* Demonstrated experience and skills in providing complex Palliative Care.
* Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with clients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team in a personable and professional manner to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs, and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking and problem solving skills as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidence based Palliative Care nursing.
