We have been engaged to recruit a Finance Manager for an exciting and dynamic property business. The business consists of a diverse range of complementary offerings and is enjoying a strong period of financial growth. They are based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne.
Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join the organisation as a Finance Manager. The role encompasses aspects of Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Project Accounting and Financial Analysis. In a high-performing culture, you will work in a tight-knit team and report into the Group Financial Controller. You will be required to manage key relationships, both internally and externally, and across all levels. The role will include elements of hands‐on duties as well as higher level tasks. It is a diverse role that will partner closely with multiple areas of the business.
You will work closely with the CFO, Group Financial Controller, and Fund Manager to oversee the financial management and statutory compliance of a portfolio of property trusts. You will be responsible for end-to-end fund accounting, financial and tax reporting, audit coordination, treasury oversight, and regulatory compliance. The role also partners closely with property and asset managers to provide commercial insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure accurate fund-level reporting and investor outcomes. This is a hands‐on role requiring strong technical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to contribute strategically across fund operations, governance, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* CA/CPA qualifications
* Relevant industry experience in a similar role, ideally within property/funds management
* Big 4 or mid‐tier experience
* Strong Excel / modelling skills
* Systems/ERP experience
* Stakeholder management experience across all levels
* Deadline-driven
* Outstanding communication skills
