Description
This role sits at the centre of payroll governance and risk management. You will ensure payroll processes, systems, and outputs remain compliant with legislative requirements and enterprise agreements.
This is a highly analytical and commercially important role with strong exposure to transformation initiatives, audit processes, and system enhancements.
* Ensure payroll compliance with legislation, enterprise agreements, and internal policies
* Perform complex payroll investigations, reconciliations, and data analysis
* Calculate and validate pay adjustments and back payments related to agreement changes
* Deliver compliance reporting and provide insights to key stakeholders
* Identify risks, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement
* Support system upgrades, implementations, and testing (including compliance impact assessment)
* Contribute to the development and uplift of payroll governance frameworks
* Partner with Payroll, HR, and Finance to embed best-practice controls and processes
* Support internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness and documentation integrity
* Provide subject matter expertise on payroll compliance and regulatory changes
Profile
* Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge, ideally in a large or complex environment
* Proven experience interpreting enterprise agreements and legislative requirements
* Experience with payroll reconciliations, audits, and/or remediation activities
* Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capability
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
