About the Role
Sand bypassing project for the Dawesville Channel and Mandurah Ocean Entrance. Site-based role on the beach operating and maintaining the excavator and land-based dredge to shift sand across the entrances.
* Bulk loading beach sand into the 'Slurrytrack' hopper while maintaining a sand pad when required
* Communicate with the Slurrytrack Operator to ensure the consistent delivery of material
* General labouring including repairing dredge pipework, site maintenance and security
* Assist with pre-checks of all plant and equipment (eg. engines, conveyors and hydraulic and electrical systems)
* Monitor public pedestrian traffic near the site
* Record all maintenance and servicing of equipment and complete regular logs
* Assess weather on-site (tides) and monitor conditions
* Assist with mobilising/demobilising each project site
Qualifications & Attributes
* Excavator ticket and bulk loading/production-based experience is essential
* White Card, HR Driver's Licence & Loader ticket
* Ability to work in a fast-paced role, with minimal supervision (small team of 3)
* Commitment to safety and environmental compliance

* Monday to Friday, averaging 55 hours per week (11-hours per day)
* Penalty rates over 38 hours
* $42.95 base hourly rate plus penalties plus $100 per day site allowance
