About the Role
The Senior Director will support FTI Consulting's Renewables and Energy Transition team by developing and maintaining market modelling capabilities, leading client engagements, and contributing to the growth of the team and the firm.
What You'll Do
* Provide leadership with the design of service offering related to market modelling.
* Develop and maintain FTI's suite of energy market modelling tools, including our wholesale electricity market model (Plexos based) and battery model (Python based).
* Lead client engagements and work closely with the FTI team to deliver outstanding results for clients.
* Design and create modelling solutions to understand clients' complex and unique problems and evaluate potential solutions.
* Contribute to business growth, including identifying new opportunities and building relationships with new and existing clients.
* Contribute to team culture and develop junior staff.
* Work closely with the global FTI team to facilitate a two-way flow of global learnings to the benefit of clients.
* Lead thought leadership and help grow awareness of FTI brand in the Australian and Asian Pacific market.

Qualifications & Experience
* A team player with a deep understanding of energy markets and a desire and motivation to accelerate the growth of your career within the industry.
* Extensive knowledge of renewable energy sector and decarbonisation.
* Creative professional with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional solutions to complex client problems.
* Quantitative skills (R/Python/Plexos experience is preferable but not required) and experience applying quantitative skills to understand problems and support decision making.
* Experience communicating the findings of your analysis to a broad spectrum of people.
* A leader who is passionate about coaching and mentoring junior staff members.
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Commerce or Economics are desirable, however other qualifications will be considered.

Compensation
Minimum Pay: $214,000
Maximum Pay: $214,000
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
