The Operating Model Design Lead will drive the design and implementation of an enhanced operating model aligned with the organization's strategic direction. On a daily basis, the role involves working closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to define organizational structures, clarify roles and responsibilities, and develop position descriptions that support strategic outcomes. The Lead will facilitate workshops, gather input from stakeholders, and ensure alignment across teams. In addition, the role is responsible for designing and delivering capability uplift programs that support team development and enable high performance across the organization.
Mandatory Requirements
The role requires demonstrated experience in operating model design and implementation within large or complex organizations, along with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at senior levels. The candidate must be able to lead initiatives that define structure, clarify roles, and deliver practical tools such as position descriptions and capability frameworks. Experience in workforce capability uplift and organizational change is essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting project milestones. Excellent communication skills and a structured, outcome‑driven approach are also mandatory.
Required Professional and Technical Expertise
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in organizational design, strategic workforce planning, and operating model development. A strong understanding of change management practices and tools is essential, along with experience in capability assessment, RACI modelling, and the creation of organizational artefacts. Proficiency in drafting strategic documents and frameworks related to roles, responsibilities, and capability development is required. The candidate should bring a strategic mindset, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate business objectives into practical design and delivery solutions.
