About the Role
The Non-Resident Boarding House Supervisor plays an important role in supporting the wellbeing, supervision and daily care of students within the Canberra Grammar School boarding community. Working under the direction of the Head of Boarding and Assistant Heads of Boarding, the role contributes to a safe, inclusive and positive residential environment that reflects the values and expectations of the School.
The role supports students through active pastoral presence, operational supervision and positive relationship management across the boarding program. Supervisors are responsible for maintaining appropriate standards of student care, behaviour, participation and safety during rostered shifts, including weekday and weekend duties.
The role contributes to the holistic development of boarders by supporting wellbeing, academic engagement, cultural inclusion, co-curricular participation and respectful community living within a structured residential environment.
About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
* A valid Driver's License
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role or a Schoolsetting
* Well-developed communication skills and attention todetail
* The ability to establish good working relations with parents, colleagues and the School community
* Previous boarding supervision experience (highly desirable)
All team members at CGS are required to have:
* A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
* A current National Police Check; and
* Full working rights within Australia.
