This business is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth and transformation. Our Client is seeking aQualified Financial Controller to join the business in a pivotal leadership role, offering a mix of strategic involvement and hands‐on operational responsibility.About the Role:
This is a high‐impact position within the finance function, ideal for a commercially astute finance professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for driving process improvement. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in managing day‐to‐day financial operations, developing a high‐performing finance team, ensuring robust cash flow forecasting and supporting the strategic financial planning process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the production of monthly management accounts and all aspects of the month‐end process
* Lead, manage and develop the finance team, ensuring clarity of roles, expectations and performance standards
* Review and oversee transactional finance processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
* Maintain adherence to financial processes in line with relevant regulatory requirements
* Build strong relationships with non‐finance stakeholders, supporting budgeting and financial planning across departments
* Enhance financial systems, controls, and reporting frameworks
* Take ownership of cash flow forecasting and working capital management
* Deliver insightful financial analysis to support business‐wide decision‐making
About You:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
* Proven experience in a senior finance role, with a strong track record of team leadership
* Exceptional skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
* Demonstrated strength in cash flow forecasting
* Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools
* A strong communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
* Emotionally intelligent leader with a collaborative and motivational management style
* Highly organised, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
* A proactive and solution‐focused mindset, with a strong emphasis on process improvement and regulatory compliance
