Duties and Responsibilities
In the role you are responsible for supporting the Supply Chain team by monitoring, planning, and overseeing the timely delivery of our goods to project sites. It is essential you have previous experience in Project Freight Forwarding, Transport or Shipping.
* Tracking and Tracing all in-bound shipments.
* Monitor the status of Customs and Quarantine clearance of shipments.
* Monitoring of logistics providers and logistics billing.
* Request Quotes from Transport Suppliers.
* Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and external stakeholders (locally and internationally) in relation to shipping requirements and documentation.
* Partner with transport providers to plan and execute the timely delivery of cargo to agreed schedules.
* Reporting of transport operations to Project/Construction management ensuring visibility to all parties.
* Strong Communication with our Construction/Project Management Teams ensuring goods are delivered on time, in full and in consultation with our sites.
* Actively seek innovations and efficiency focused on improving transportation performance and costs.
* Support Logistics and Procurement team as required.
Experience required:
* 3 years' experience in a similar position or in a freight forwarder working with projects.
* Understanding of Import Documentation and processes, Incoterms, TCO, HS-Code, Tariff advice, BMSB Certificate, AQIS and Dangerous Goods.
* Attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset.
* Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Customer Service Skills.
* Pro-Active and Team player.
