You will play a crucial role in supporting older persons by providing quality, responsive and compassionate care that promotes independence and supports a trusted and long-term relationship.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care, domestic assistance, companionship and transportation for older persons
* Promote independence and dignity of older persons
* Develop and maintain relationships with older persons and their families
* Work effectively as part of a team to achieve high-quality outcomes
* Adhere to policies and procedures at all times
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must:
* Have previous experience working in aged care or personal care (desirable)
* Be able to work independently and effectively manage time
* Be able to follow policies and procedures at all times
* Be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
Qualifications and Certifications
* Certificate III in Individual Support/ Home and Community Care/ Aged Care/ Health Care/Services assistant
* Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification
* A current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence
* A roadworthy, registered and comprehensively insured car
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
* Current nationally recognised first aid and CPR certificates (or the ability to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' certificate
* Current immunisation history statement
