Team Leader – Spatial & Data Services (Melbourne, Hobart, Trevallyn) We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join the Entura team in a role as the team leader for the Spatial and Data Services team.

About the Role We are seeking a Team Leader – Spatial and Data Services to join Entura in Hobart to grow & work within our specialised services & inventive techniques in collection, manipulation, analysis and management of spatial data on a micro and macro scale. Reporting to the Director – Water and Renewables, the Team Leader will ensure the formation, development, leadership and performance of a highly capable resource pool of technical professionals. The team covers services such as spatial analysis, spatial web and field applications, 3D modelling and photo montage, engineering surveying, deformation surveying, laser scanning, UAV and LiDAR, bathymetry and industrial metrology.
Other key responsibilities include developing technical capability, resourcing to suit client and market demand, enhancing team performance and fostering communication and collaboration. The Team Leader will also work closely with the sales team to nurture client relationships and help generate opportunities and successful sales outcomes.
About You To be considered for this role you will hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant Spatial or technical discipline and have significant technical experience on major infrastructure projects. You are an inspiring leader with a demonstrated track record within a spatial consulting business. Robust commercial acumen and effective communication skills are critical for success in this role.

Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Systems (Melbourne, Hobart) About the Role The role involves reviewing work of more junior team members providing technical support, maintaining relationships with existing clients and being the interface between Entura and respective client, acting as the Technical Lead for connection application studies, Generator Performance Standards (GPS) compliance assessments, model overlays and model validation in PSSE and PSCAD and project management of smaller projects.
About You and the Role You care about the environment, you love working with a team, you know what a healthy, collaborative culture looks like and that is important to you. You enjoy working with smart, dedicated and genuinely nice people and you love the challenge of making the world a better place through clean, renewable energy projects. This role can be worked part‑time or full‑time.
Key Experience
7+ years’ experience.
Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
Practical experience of 7+ years, predominantly in the space of grid connections, Generator Performance Standards (GPS) compliance assessments, power system studies.
Undertaken testing either on site or virtually (e.g. via Teams screenshare) desirable but not essential.
Ideally CPEng, RPEQ, RPEV credentials.
Able to diagnose and troubleshoot independently (both in software PSSE, PSCAD, Python, etc as well as technical issues, i.e. understand the underlying real world physics).

Principal Electrical Engineer – SCADA (Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide) About the Role In this senior leadership role, you’ll apply your technical expertise to deliver high‑impact projects, guide innovation, and mentor the next generation of engineers. You’ll lead the delivery of complex projects involving control centres, communication networks, generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities
Leading SCADA system projects, design and configuration.
Providing expert engineering advice on regulatory compliance, system integration, and emerging technologies.
Acting as a technical lead on major bids and proposals, supporting business development and client engagement.
Managing SCADA‑related systems and documentation including software versions, virtual machines, testing equipment, and client‑specific standards.
Contributing to financial planning and project management through estimates, budgets, and reporting.
What You’ll Bring
Postgraduate qualifications in Electrical Engineering (or related field), and RPEQ or RPEV accreditation.
Significant experience in SCADA systems across renewable energy, substations, and grid infrastructure.

Senior Structural Transmission Line Engineer – Hobart, Remote – WFH Available About the Role We can’t wait for you to join our team as a Senior Structural Transmission Line Engineer and bring your fresh perspective to the team. This role will give you the opportunity to work on diverse projects including wind, solar, battery storage, pumped hydro and utilities works (transmission and distribution substations, switchyards and lines) for a broad range of clients.
Key Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), acceptable for admission as a professional engineer to Engineers Australia, or equivalent professional body.
At least 10 years’ experience in structural (lattice structures) design work, with a particular emphasis on transmission line and substation structural design work.
Strong knowledge of the following Australian Standards: AS / NZS 7000, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 3995 and AS 1170.
Sound experience in the use of computer design packages such as PLS Tower, PLS Pole; development of conductor loads for transmission and substation structures.
Experience in the development of conductor attachment point loads for transmission and substation structures through “limit state” design method.
Experience in the analysis of lattice towers, pole and gantry structures, as well as lattice tower member connection detailing and design.
Experience in existing tower augmentation and strengthening works for TL upgradation projects.
Ability to solve complex technical and operational problems, either through a systematic approach or innovation.
Previous experience in an engineering design consultancy environment.
This role is ideally based in our Tasmanian office however flexible work arrangements are considered. Given the diversity of our clients and projects, there may be some local, national and international travel required.
