We are looking for a capable commercial lawyer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to grow in a collegiate team environment.What you’ll DoReporting to the Senior Lawyer - Woolworths Retail, you will be responsible for advising on a broad range of commercial matters, including:Working with the Greenstock, W360 and other Woolworths Retail businesses to support projects and day to day operations, provide advisory support, and preparing and negotiating ‘fit for purpose’ contractsBuilding effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders that facilitate constructive and efficient delivery pathways for the business to achieve its objectivesEnsuring key stakeholders are informed on the impact of regulatory requirements that may affect the organisationAssisting the General Counsel - Woolworths Retail to support on matters which affect the organisation’s strategic objectivesManaging and advising on commercial disputesAssisting with the development of training materials and deployment of training modules on legal developments and systemsWhat You’ll BringBachelor of Laws with 3-6 years PQE with a well regarded law firm or/and in house experienceA current Australian practising certificateStrong experience in commercial contractingAn interest in retail innovation and construction is desirableA resilient and collaborative professional who is comfortable dealing with ambiguityPersonal qualities that align with our purpose, values and ways of workingWhat you’ll experienceA global business with endless career possibilities around every corner and across every discipline – with valuable exposure to a vast and exciting business networkStrong mentorship and development; opportunity to collaborate with some of the brightest and best minds in AustraliaA progressive and flexible WFH policy that gives you more control over your work, life and wellbeingAccess to Sonder.
